Happy (Belated) Father's Day!
Last Sunday was Father's Day. I say "belated" because it took me a week to get this post up on my blog. This year, some of the Relief Society sisters brought pies to church for all the men in our church congregation to take home. Since there were leftover pies, I had the luxury of choosing a chocolate pie to enjoy for myself. Our family actually celebrated Father's Day on Saturday instead of Sunday because Allison was still in town and had to leave early Sunday morning to get back to New Bern. Anyway, we all ate ice cream at Cold Stone Creamery to celebrate.

Allison & Adam's Visit
On Wednesday, Allison and Adam came to Greensboro to visit, because Adam was participating in the Pioneer Trek that our church put on for Youth Conference. While Adam was on the Trek, Allison and I hung out with my mom and brother at mom's house. We went to the Natural Science Center in Greensboro. Boy, was it hot and muggy! We were very grateful to get back to mom's house after we were done! I didn't take any pictures of their visit this week, but Allison will probably have some on her blog.

Happy Mother's Day!
Last weekend was Mother's Day. This year, it was Allison's first Mother's Day and my mom's 31st Mother's Day, I think :) Anyway, while at my mom's house, my brother cooked a frozen chicken-potato-gravy-rolls dinner. It was so delicious, it almost tasted like something homemade. The gravy was milk gravy with pepper in it. Anyway, happy mother's Day to all you mom's out there :)

Birthday Month
Sorry it's been awhile since I last updated my blog. I just haven't had much to write about lately. April is "birthday month" for me and my 3 siblings, as well as my mom. I always look forward to this time of year because my mom always takes us out to eat somewhere nice.
Well, that's all I have to share for now. Have a great April and enjoy the spring weather! :)

Animal Fun!
I just started training to be a Docent at the Natural Science Center in Greensboro. It runs until sometime in March. A Docent is someone who helps the visitors at the museum learn about the animals on display. I get to take them out of their cages and let the visitors pet the animals. I am looking forward to this new adventure at the Natural Science Center.

Martin Luther King Day Fun!
Usually during this time of year, the Natural Science Center in Greensboro, NC is quite slow. However, since it was a holiday, there were a lot of kids at the museum today. I enjoy supervising the kids and chit-chatting with the patrons at the museum.
I also appreciate that Martin Luther King, Jr. stood up for the rights of African-Americans many years ago. If it wasn't for him, we would still be a segregated society, and blacks wouldn't have the same rights as everyone else. This is America, and so I believe that blacks should never have been segregated in the first place and should have always had the same privileges as everyone else. I am also glad that slavery does not exist anymore. I don't believe that white plantation owners were acting like Americans by having black slaves, and treating them like property instead of real people. Way to go, Martin!

Christmas 2008
For Christmas Eve, we were at my mom's house and had her sister Becky (my aunt) over for gift exchanges with her. Of course, my niece Arden and her family were there also. On Christmas Day, we were at my dad's house during the first half of the day. We did gift exchanges and ate lunch while there. Then we were back to mom's house that afternoon for more gift exchanges. I got to see Arden 3 days in a row while they were in town for Christmas during all this back-and-forth running from mom's house to dad's house the last few days. There weren't a whole lot of pictures taken at mom's house and I didn't get any at dad's house because my camera battery was dead and I had accientally left my camera at mom's house the night before, anyway.
I tried to find more, but apparently these are the only pictures I took at mom's house for Christmas.

Church Christmas Party
I went to our church's ward Christmas party yesterday evening. We ate good food and sang Christmas carols. The activity we did was called "Remember the Lyrics", during which one person at each table would finish part of the song that everyone started singing when prompted. it was really cute and funny because some of the individuals would make up words or they just sounded funny while singing by themselves. I chose not to take my camera to this event for various reasons, and so there are not pictures of this to see, but that's okay.

Thanksgiving 2008
Thanksgiving at the Lewis Home
This year, we went to the Lewis home (Allison's inlaws) on Thanksgiving Day. Here are some pictures of us hanging out.

The picture below is a 3-generation picture of my mom, Allison, and Arden. I think it looks funny because mom has a smile on her face with her eyes shut, lol!

There were many more pictures that I took but too many to add here. Arden's "First Thanksgiving" pictures are located under the "Arden's Firsts" posting. I took some really good "pacifier pictures". I love the brown outfit that her parents chose for her to wear.
Annual Thanksgiving Reunion at Dad's House
We had a family reunion at my dad's house on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. I got to see all of my aunts and uncles and some of my cousins with their families. Here are some of the many pictures I took at the reunion.

Of course, there are many more pictures that I took but too many to put here.
