Usually during this time of year, the Natural Science Center in Greensboro, NC is quite slow. However, since it was a holiday, there were a lot of kids at the museum today. I enjoy supervising the kids and chit-chatting with the patrons at the museum.
I also appreciate that Martin Luther King, Jr. stood up for the rights of African-Americans many years ago. If it wasn't for him, we would still be a segregated society, and blacks wouldn't have the same rights as everyone else. This is America, and so I believe that blacks should never have been segregated in the first place and should have always had the same privileges as everyone else. I am also glad that slavery does not exist anymore. I don't believe that white plantation owners were acting like Americans by having black slaves, and treating them like property instead of real people. Way to go, Martin!
